The Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham, houses females sentenced to imprisonment, awaiting trial, or committed by the courts for alcohol or substance abuse treatment (MGLA c 125, s 16; c 123, s 35). Under the supervision of the deputy superintendent for operations, the director of security is responsible for overseeing operations that ensure the prison's security. Monthly inspection tracking forms, updated weekly, are created to monitor problems encountered in daily security inspections to determine possible security lapses or problems in the inspections being done.
